Meta’s Smart-Glasses Rev Share Leaks – Creators Get 36%
A leaked Meta partner deck shared with creator agencies this week details the Ray-Ban Display monetization split.
Creators take 36% of Meta Glasses-driven content revenue, Meta keeps 50%, and the residual 14% routes to platform partners (Spotify, EA, etc.). The split is generous compared to early VR storefronts but tight relative to YouTube’s 55% creator share.
The math creators care about
For now the addressable audience is small – sub-1M actively wearing the glasses according to internal numbers – but the per-impression rate runs 3-4x mobile because the surface is rarer and attention is higher. Top creators in the program are reporting CPMs in the $40-60 range.
The EsportForge angle: glasses-native gaming and esports content is a green field. Whoever builds the first must-have first-person stream format wins outsized share.
